Your clinician will advise you of the exact time to remove your peel, which may range from 2–7 hours depending on your skin and treatment plan. The peel is removed at home.
To remove the peel:
Rinse thoroughly with cold to lukewarm water.
Use your fingertips to gently massage the skin in light, circular motions while wet.
Do not rub or scrub the skin or use a towel, as your skin may be more sensitive following the treatment.
Pat your skin dry gently with a clean, soft towel.
-
As a general rule, no. During your MelanoPro treatment, we recommend following the prescribed MelanoPro skincare protocol and avoiding other active skincare products.
For some clients, your clinician may recommend incorporating specific pigment-correcting products as part of an advanced skincare cycling technique. This will only be advised where appropriate and discussed during your consultation.
If you’re new to active skincare or unsure of your skin’s tolerance, we recommend sticking to the MelanoPro system as directed. Introducing additional active ingredients may increase sensitivity and interfere with your results.

Peeling is an expected part of the MelanoPro process. The amount of peeling varies between individuals, and your skin may feel dry, tight or sensitive during the treatment period.

MelanoPro involves a period of skin recovery, during which peeling and sensitivity may occur. Your therapist will explain what to expect and provide detailed aftercare instructions.
-
Your therapist will advise you when makeup can be safely resumed based on your individual skin response. It is important to follow your prescribed MelanoPro home-care instructions.

MelanoPro is not suitable for every skin type or concern. A consultation, skin assessment and patch test are required to determine whether the treatment is appropriate for you.

No. MelanoPro is not recommended during pregnancy due to the retinol included in the treatment system.
For pigmentation concerns during pregnancy, your clinician may recommend alternative options such as:
AHA serum 1–2 times per week, as tolerated
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) 10–20% in the morning
Azelaic Acid in the evening
-
Yes, Melanopro can be performed during summer, provided you can strictly minimise sun exposure and follow your aftercare protocol.
Because the treatment targets pigmentation and temporarily increases skin sensitivity, diligent SPF 50+ application, sun protection and avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure are essential throughout the treatment period.
If you have upcoming holidays, outdoor events or significant sun exposure planned, your clinician may recommend postponing your treatment until a period when sun exposure can be better controlled.
